Birthday Week: [Food Diary Feb 23]
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.. keeping a record of everything I eat to inspire me to be ever-conscious about what goes into my body, to look for holes, to inspire more research, to motivate me to get rid of unhealthy habits, and to become accountable to my choices.
This post goes hand-in-hand with the following post (too big to have on the one page)
My health focus this week: Cheap Eats & Birthday Week
Spent $12.75 on fresh produce this week and have to make that work with my existing “pantry” food (although I had to cave and go back to the grocer to get some fruit because I was really noticing the difference in my health & mood without them). This week I spent a bit much getting a bad haircut, buying from a health food shop, bills, and only have 4 hours work this week so next week’s pay will be kinda pathetic. So this week will focus on making do with what I have, although it’s also my birthday and we plan to go out for my once-a-year meal at my fave Thai/Indian restaurant (Chilipadi Watergardens) that we go to about twice a year.

Weather Check: Sunny, warm 27°
Mood Check: Little stressed in right-shoulder blade.
Sleep Check: 8 Hours
Activities: Facebook, Breakfast, Facebook, Lunch, lol. Ok, so maybe not the most ‘productive’ day. :), Finished reading the book “Heal Your Face” – love it, it’s like he took my whole website and made a book out of all the health & mindset stuff, but he is actually living the advice that I try and give to myself lol, and there was a few nuggets in there that I didn’t know. But it’s reaffirming that someone on the complete other side of the world, has done the same research as me and came to the same conclusion. Though I think he needs to cite his sources because some of the things I have found conflicting research about (I think it’s more his opinion rather than fact?), but all-in-all.. absolutely fabulous read – something I can highly recommend to ‘everyone who lives on this planet’, and I can take so many notes from this book. It has also inspired me to have a “fast” sooner rather than later – both water & juice. So I’m looking forward to preparing myself for those in the near future (after I get all the ingredients/equipment and have a work/home plan to be able to “not” work on the days that I’m fasting or the days while I’m transitioning back to food). I had already started planning the whole body organ cleanse, but had not thought about “fasting” in that, so if I hadn’t of read this book, I might not of fasted until after the cleanses (and the cleanses will take about a year).
