Convenience Week: [Food Diary Feb 14]
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.. keeping a record of everything I eat to inspire me to be ever-conscious about what goes into my body, to look for holes, to inspire more research, to motivate me to get rid of unhealthy habits, and to become accountable to my choices.

My health focus this week: Convenience
This week is going to be a busy one.. but I’ll still keep myself accountable with my food diary. Last week was “joint health” week and I no longer feel pain in my legs, but I can’t say if it was the diet (I doubt things work that fast), the ‘intention’ behind the week (more likely) or the rest period (just as likely) that resolved the problem. This week I was intending on making “teeth health” week, but after looking at the ingredients required, most (90%) of them are not locally available to me. I just got my work roster, and I’m all over the place this week, so I guess this week can be “Convenience” focused. Let’s see if I can still eat healthy while eating a lot on the run.
Friday 14th Feb 2014 ~ Happy Valentine’s Day
Weather Check: Can’t remember but it was warm and smokey – haven’t seen the sun in days even though the weather is warm due to the fires/smoke.
Mood Check: Happy
Sleep Check: 5 Hours
Activities: Facebook, Made my own homemade mascara from egg yolk & activated charcoal, driving to work (30 mins), work (4 hours), driving home from work (30 mins), and facebook.

Saturday 15th Feb 2014
Weather Check: Hot 29°C, but still can’t see the sun. I really miss the sun.
Mood Check: A bit crappy actually, as in, a bit “annoyed”, was alright after I had my juice, and again a bit crappy at about 5pm when I found out what my current week is going to be.. I think I need a decent car, the first thing that came to mind was that I don’t think my car can do this week.
Sleep Check: 7 Hours of broken sleep. Too much coffee before bed last night. Had prickly legs & it was “impossible” to sleep.
Activities: Facebook, drive to work (30 mins), work (4 hours), drive home from work (25 mins), 2 x listening to podcasts on gut health, facebook, youtube documentary on cellular stuff, dinner, research into eye floaters, and now this blog post, and then probably another documentary & bed.

Sunday 16th Feb 2014
Weather Check: Cool 19°C
Mood Check: Lethargic, Fatigued, Zombie, Back of Head heaviness, shoulder-pain.. “bleh”
Sleep Check: 2 Hours
Activities: Couldn’t sleep last night and had to work this morning, so I think the lack of sleep has “won” me over today and done a number on my body. I just feel lousy. My nephew is excited about something in the sandpit and I’m in a “don’t really care” response, instead of my normal joining in of whatever excitement he is happy about. I had 2 juices in the morning at work and after work, and that got me through but then I bought a piece of Flake & some chips from the fish’n’chip shop cos I just couldn’t be bothered preparing anything, and that made me worse. After eating it, I fell asleep on the couch and could barely move for hours. I haven’t improved at all after the sleep. So I think I can just discount this day and take it as a life lesson. Get decent sleep. Eat decent food. Or you will feel like crap. Penny, you hear that? “You are what you eat and you did this to yourself” :)

Mood Check: Pretty good, especially considering I have only slept 4 hours in 2 days.. Calm, Happy, Light Spirit, but certainly noticeably slower than normal. I really need to get some sleep.

Activities: Another night of no sleep and an unfortunate early-call from work, so I got called in and wouldn’t of had time to try and get back to sleep. Drive to work (35m), Work (8h), Drive home from work (25m), Dinner, Facebook, updated my About Page, this post, and now, I’m heading to bed.

Weather Check: Hot 27°C
Mood Check:Not 100%.. still feel a bit crabby… a little bit disappointed with work, kind of feels “unreal” being there, like I’m not with it. Diet & sleep have been up & down this week which I think is the main cause. A little bit of a “zombie”. Picked up a lot after 4pm, and spent the rest of the day full of energy, bright & happy.
Sleep Check: 8.5 Hours
Activities: Facebook (reading a long conspiracy post and everyone’s comments about Aldous Huxley), Making a Date Slice, this post. Driving to work (25 mins), Work (3 hours), Driving home from work (20 mins), Hanging out in lounge eating Date mix, Facebook, Downloading podcasts, Reading the forum at ExtremeHealthRadio, Making dinner, this post again. Now I’ll listen to the podcast I just downloaded and head to bed.
