Cancer and cell damage is all about the cumulative effect. When the human body is exposed repeatedly to any level of carcinogens (things that are known or suspected to cause cancer), or toxins & poisons, the immune system is depleted to the point that the body does not have the ability to detoxify efficiently, which causes diseases, fatigue, and a host of malady’s. What do I consider a ‘toxin’? If you are curious about why some seemingly ‘natural’ products may be listed below… know that I consider something as a ‘toxin’ if it isn’t safe to ‘eat’. I believe we shouldn’t be breathing, eating, or applying ingredients internally or to our skin/lungs, etc. that wouldn’t be considered ‘safe for human consumption’ as it will still affect our cells and either cause our body’s cells to work overtime trying to ‘combat’ the toxins (and our cells are already working overtime due to our toxic air, water, stressful lifestyles, and foods), or actually do damage on a DNA level by suffocating our cells of oxygen & of nutrients that they need to function optimally. I intend to get the toxins that I’m exposed to down to “zero intentional”. (can’t do much about many of the toxins that I’m exposed to from outside my control, but I only have myself to blame for any toxins that I do have direct control over). Things listed below are toxins that I “can” do something about… for example, I was happily & effectively using bicarb soda and apple cider vinegar instead of shampoo & conditioner and despite being extremely happy with my hair, I saw this conditioner at the health shop and ending up buying it hoping it was toxin-free & that I would get even more benefits, only to find out when I researched all the ingredients after getting home, that it has 5 toxins, so once this bottle is finished, I’ll be back to all natural again, etc. similarly with the dry shampoo – I should’ve known better, I was happy just using arrowroot powder) I’ve been working on going toxin-free for years on and off, so my list below is nothing compared to what a normal person’s would be (people who wear makeup or use skin products or commercial cleaning products, can probably add up to 1000 more chemicals to the list). Loads of everyday items in our modern world are toxic… perfume/cologne (of which you never get the ‘ingredients’/secret formula), shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, creams, lotions, detergents, cleaning products, certain medications, air fragrances, canned & processed foods, etc. I wouldn’t recommend any time-poor people to start writing down their weekly exposures as ‘chemicals’ like I am, until you are down to about 20 or less products, because it would take month’s to investigate each individual ingredient to see what you are exposing your cells to. Rather, know what is obviously toxic by looking at the labels and start removing/replacing unnecessary items. I am doing the below experiment to just make myself accountable and to keep myself consciously aware and blatantly obvious in the ‘forefront’ of my mind, the things I have yet to remove, and I’m only able to do this because I have already removed thousands of toxins.
