Find Out How To optimize your LinkedIn Profile to get a good ranking in LinkedIn’s search results and be found by people looking for you… LinkedIn Keyword Optimization In Three Simple Steps.

LinkedIn

This article tells you how you’ll be able to keyword optimize your LinkedIn profile to get found in LinkedIn’s search results.

Step 1.) Summary

The all-important initial step is to provide a detailed keyword-optimized summary. This is very important because LinkedIn’s internal search is setup in a way that profiles that carry many of the same “keywords” will show up first in the search results.

You can improve your LinkedIn results by placing your keywords throughout your profile, and the first place to do that is in your Summary section. Your summary gives you lots of space to provide a lot about what you do and how you can help people, and a lot of what you have on your website can be transferred directly to your LinkedIn Summary section.

It’s important to keep your summary dedicated to the “What’s in it for me” type of stuff – think of your Summary as a way to list all the ways you can help people and type it in a way where it is benefit-driven.

Here’s a screenshot of how I tweaked my Summary:

Summary

I help businesses get more leads via Internet Marketing and real-time marketing such as Social Media marketing (Facebook, Twitter & other online Social Networking platforms).

Search engines want the most relevant sites and content to come up first, we’re going to make YOUR presence on the internet – THE most relevant, in whatever local area you want to rank in – and give the search engines exactly what they want.

Whitehat SEO:
I diligently apply best practices and white hat techniques for my clients. My SEO Consultants and I tackle just about every aspect on page optimization, robots txt files, url rewrite, internal links, alt tags, keyword density, prominence, and frequency, content, and improve web page navigation among a long checklist for our customers.

Lead Generation:
My “Credibility and Trust Lead-Generation” Campaign is a doozy! It’s a Video marketing promotion designed to position you as an expert in your field and gain qualified prospects.

It’s important to finish this initial step – not only is the keyword function good for ranking in the search results, it will help potential customers or employers find you easier.

Step 2.) Specialities

Your 2nd step is going to be to update your Specialities section. Specialities is located just beneath the summary, and it’s a great opportunity to show-case your skills and services. Keywords can be placed quite easily in here without looking spammy too, which is another benefit of using it to its full potential! One-after-the-other bullet points stands out for easy reading here and lets you present a lot more different services than if you were going to write many sentences.

Here is a screenshot of my Specialities section:

* Social Media Marketing
* Google Places
* Local Domination
* Content Processing & Syndication
* Video Marketing Syndication

Step 3.) Work Experience

The third and last step for keyword optimization is to update your Work Experience section, focusing on what people might type into the search field to find the services or skills you offer. The reason this is very important is that potential employers and clients are typing keywords into the search box that relate to the exact skills and services they ‘think’ they are after, and it’s up to you to work out what skills and services you offer that you may have to tweak to match the potential keywords they may be typing in to find you.

Try our new Local Domination service which gets you results on the first page for an ENTIRE COUNTRY!

Search engines want the most relevant sites and content to come up first, we’re going to make YOUR presence on the internet – the most relevant, in whatever local area you want to rank in – and give the search engines exactly what they want.

We diligently apply best practices and white hat techniques for our clients. Our SEO Consultants tackle just about every aspect on page optimization, robots txt files, url rewrite, internal links, alt tags, keyword density, prominence, and frequency, content, and improve web page navigation among a long checklist for our customers.

Our target is getting more results, we have social media “buzz” packages which will get you thousands of followers, training solutions so that you can let your own in-house staff handle it if you prefer, and web development/seo packages.

You can be as detailed as you like in this section, so add as much as you can and really explain what you do and how you can help people. Don’t forget your University and College degrees – many people list just the school they attended without listing the details of what they learnt, or even the degree they achieved. These are all potential keywords people could be typing in to find you, and so you need to be aware of that and use it to your advantage.

Follow each of these steps carefully, and you won’t need to spend much time seeking out other people, you’ll be logging into your LinkedIn account each day to approve people who are wanting to get in touch with you instead! Enjoy the benefits and rewards that go along with your optimized success!

I also offer profile reviews if anyone is interested, where I go through your profile and point out every step that you could be doing to build your LinkedIn to over 1,000 connections very quickly. Let me know if you are interested in this service (it’s only $20 – see testimonials).
