  • Nothing can occur in your life experience without your invitation of it through your thought.
  • When you understand the Law of Attraction, you are never surprised by what occurs in your experience, for you understand that you have invited every bit of it in – through your own thought process. Nothing can occur in your life experience without your invitation of it through your thought.
  • You get what you think about – whether you want it or not.
  • By the powerful Universal Law of Attraction, you draw to you the essence of whatever you are predominantly thinking about. So if you are predominantly thinking about the things you desire, your life experience reflects those things. And, in the same way, if you are predominantly thinking about what you do not want, your life experience reflects those things.

Title: Mindset: How You Can Fulfil Your Potential

Title: Handbook to Higher Consciousness –The Science of Happiness
Author: Keyes, Ken
Link to my notes: Part 1 | Part 2

  • We always have enough to be happy if we are enjoying what we do have – and not worrying about what we don’t have.
  • We see things not as they are, but as ‘we’ are.
  • You add suffering to the world just as much when you ‘take offense’ as when you ‘give offense’.
  • A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Your ‘actions’ create the ‘reactions’ of people around you. The world is your mirror.
  • Even if someone yells at you or hits you, he is trying to manipulate you so that you can fit the pattern of his addictions – and thus permit him to love you in his conditional way.
  • Real love is simply accepting another person, completely and unconditionally!
  • Addictions always cause you unhappiness sooner or later, preferences never do. When an addiction is not satisfied, you are unhappy. When a preference is not satisfied, you are simply indifferent – it was only a preference after all.
  • You have always had enough to be happy. It is the patterns in your head that make you un-happy.
  • You will begin to experience your life as one “miraculous” happening after another.
  • Expand your love, your consciousness, and your loving compassion by experiencing everything that everyone does or says as though you had done or said it.
  • Your higher consciousness is the “observer” of life, watching, like an audience – watching your body/mind interact with other bodies/minds. Not judging, just observing – “watching the show”.

Title: The Answer
Author: Assaraf, John
Link to my notes

  • Your current life – your relationships, your health, your income, your lifestyle, where you live, where you work, where you play, what you do every day, all of it – is an accurate reading of the picture you’ve been holding in your non-conscious brain. If you are broke, then your belief is, “I’m broke” or “I don’t deserve to have a lot of money”. If you are stressed out, pressured, or never have enough time, then welcome to your belief, “There is never enough time.”
  • If you want to change things, then decide what beliefs you WANT to have.
  • If you want to be a millionaire, you have to strive for excellence. You want your dream business to make a memorable footprint – an extraordinary impact that nobody will forget.

Title: The Four Things that Matter Most
Author: Byock, Ira
Link to my notes

  • Any relationship can be fixed, and transformed permanently – it is never too late.
  • Life is short, and if we remember to really appreciate it instead of taking it for granted, we can infuse every moment with joy.
  • Four simple phrases — “Please forgive me,” “I forgive you,” “Thank you,” and “I love you” — carry enormous power.
  • We must come to terms with our mistakes, and accept ourselves, warts and all, rather than pretending to be something else, because if we don’t feel worthy of love and acceptance in ourselves, we will reject them when they are offered to us by others.
  • Defences push people away, and make them become defensive too. It only takes one side to change the dynamics of a relationship, and it is never too late to do so.
  • Forgiveness is not the same as exoneration: forgiveness accepts the past for what it was, without necessarily excusing it.

Title: Men Are from Mars, Women Are fromVenus
Author: Gray, Dr John
Link to my notes

  • Questions which begin with the words ‘Could you’ or ‘Can you’ are often interpreted by men as questioning their abilities. Men respond more positively to the same questions asked with ‘Would you’ or ‘Will you’.
  • Criticizing him or giving excessive instructions will make him feel more like a slave than a loved and trusted partner.

Author: Bowen, Will
Link to my notes

  • Scientists believe it takes 21 days to form a new habit and complaining is habitual for most of us.
  • Two-thirds of illnesses originate in the mind. What the mind believes, the body manifests.

Title: The Power of your Sub-Conscious Mind
Author: Murphy, Dr Joseph
Link to Part 1

  • Whatever your conscious mind assumes and believes to be true, your subconscious mind will accept and bring to pass. Believe in good fortune, divine guidance, right action, and all the blessings of life.
  • You must choose happiness. Happiness is a habit. It is a good habit to ponder often on. When you open your eyes in the morning, say to yourself, I choose happiness today. I choose success today. I choose right action today. I choose love and good will for all today. I choose peace today. Pour life, love, and interest into this affirmation, and you have chosen happiness.
  • When thoughts are conveyed to your subconscious mind, impressions are made in the brain cells. As soon as your subconscious accepts any idea, it proceeds to put it into effect immediately. It works by association of ideas and uses every bit of knowledge that you have gathered in your lifetime to bring about its purpose. It draws on the infinite power, energy, and wisdom within you. It lines up all the laws of nature to get its way.
  • You must make certain to give your subconscious only suggestions, which heal, bless, elevate, and inspire you in all your ways. Your subconscious cannot take a joke – it takes you at your word.
  • Your subconscious mind cannot argue controversially. If you give it the wrong suggestions, it will accept them as true and proceed to bring them to pass as conditions, experiences, and events. All things that have happened to you are based on thoughts impressed on your subconscious mind through belief.
  • Whatever your conscious mind assumes and believes to be true, your subconscious mind will accept and bring to pass. Believe in good fortune, divine guidance, right action, and all the blessings of life.
  • Change your thoughts, and you can change your destiny.
  • You cannot be hurt when you know that you are master of your thoughts, reactions, and emotions. Emotions follow thoughts, and you have the power to reject all thoughts, which may disturb or upset you.
  • You must make certain to give your subconscious only suggestions, which heal, bless, elevate, and inspire you in all your ways. Your subconscious cannot take a joke – it takes you at your word.
  • The easiest and most obvious way to formulate an idea is to visualize it, to see it in your mind’s eye as vividly as if it were alive. What you form in your imagination is as real as any part of your body. The idea and the thought are real and will one day appear in your objective world if you are faithful to your mental image. This process of thinking forms impressions in your mind; these impressions in turn become manifested as facts and experiences in your life.

Link (People & Relationships)

  • Become emotionally mature and permit other people to differ from you.
  • They have a perfect right to disagree with you, and you have the same freedom to disagree with them.
  • You can disagree without being disagreeable.

Link (Wealth & Success)

  • The third step to success is the most important one. Your desire must not be selfish; it must benefit humanity. The path of a complete circuit must be formed. Your idea must go forth with the purpose of blessing or serving the world. If it is to benefit yourself exclusively, the circle or complete circuit is not formed, and you may experience a short circuit in your life which may consist of limitation or sickness.
  • Wealth is simply a subconscious conviction on the part of the individual. You will not become a millionaire by saying, “I am a millionaire, I am a millionaire.” You will grow into a wealth consciousness by building into your mentality the idea of wealth and abundance.
  • Watch what you say. You have to account for every idle word. Never say, “I will fail; I will lose my job; I can’t pay the rent.” Your subconscious cannot take a joke. It brings all these things to pass.
  • A successful man is not selfish. His main desire in life is to serve humanity.

Link (Conflict & Destructive Habits)

  • What the other person says or does cannot really annoy or irritate you except you permit him to disturb you.
  • The only way he can annoy you is through your own thought.

Link (Addictions)

  • The real cause of alcoholism is negative and destructive thinking; for as a man thinketh, so is he.
  • The alcoholic has a deep sense of inferiority, inadequacy, defeat, and frustration, usually accompanied by a deep inner hostility.
  • He has countless alibis as to his reason for drinking, but the sole reason is in his thought life.

Link (Health & Healing)

  • All disease originates in the mind.
  • Nothing appears on the body unless there is a mental pattern corresponding to it.
  • Resentment, hatred, ill will, and hostility are behind a host of maladies. Forgive yourself and everybody else by pouring out love, life, joy, and good will to all those who have hurt you. Continue until such time as you meet them in your mind and you are at peace with them.
  • In the healing of disease, you must eliminate thoughts of fear, worry, anxiety, jealousy, hatred, and every other destructive thought which tends to tear down and destroy your nerves and glands—body tissue which controls the elimination of all waste material.
  • Forgive yourself and everyone else before you go to sleep, and healing will take place much more rapidly.
  • I strongly suggest that you cease talking about your ailments or giving them a name. The only sap from which they draw life is your attention and fear of them. If you are constantly naming your aches and symptoms, you inhibit the kinetic action, which means the release of the healing power and energy of your subconscious mind.
  • Scientists inform us that you build a new body every eleven months; so you are really only eleven months old from a physical standpoint. If you build defects back into your body by thoughts of fear, anger, jealousy, and ill will, you have no one to blame but yourself.
  • Forgiveness of others is essential to mental peace and radiant health. You must forgive everyone who has ever hurt you if you want perfect health and happiness.
